Roads and Streets Framework (RASF) is a key system planning tool for Auckland’s transport system, ensuring design decisions align with strategic direction, both movement and place based. FME plays a vital role in translating a complex scoring system and numerous data sets to instantly visualise basic RASF assessments.

With FME, Chorus has developed a unified process to analyse our asset data, ensuring reliable and resilient repeatable infrastructure reporting.

The volume of Intelligence Transport Systems Network (ITSN) data and processes associated with managing it consumed a lot of the team’s time and computer processing capabilities. By leveraging FME to automate our workflow, we have achieved a remarkable 90% reduction in process time, cutting it down from 8 hours to just 5-6 minutes. This transformation has not only enhanced our ability to rapidly, and accurately update our network device records but strengthened relationships with stakeholders’ and reduced the day-to-day working pressure on the team.

With enhanced accuracy and scalable solutions, NIWA is able to estimate building heights and integrate nationwide datasets, that support proactive measures against natural hazards. FME’s automation has unlocked far greater efficiencies among the team allowing them to focus on value-add tasks and research initiatives

By bringing the management of Didymo sampling data in-house, and leveraging our team’s considerable FME capability, data was successfully managed and accessible to visualise in ArcGIS Online.
