Who is this FME training best suited for?
Our courses are designed for data teams, GIS analysts and technical staff who want to build and maintain reliable data workflows efficiently. This includes teams currently relying on custom scripts who want a more transparent, scalable and supportable approach to data integration.
Our training is also well suited to non-developers working in government, councils, utilities, transport, engineering consultancies, construction, property and other data-intensive sectors.
Can you tailor training to our organisation’s workflows?
Yes. We can deliver customised training using your own datasets, formats and integration patterns, so the learning reflects the real work your team needs to deliver.
Do you offer training for teams new to FME Flow?
Yes. We cover workspace automation, scheduling, notifications and publishing workflows, helping your team confidently manage end-to-end FME Flow deployments.
Can non-technical staff learn to automate workflows with FME?
Absolutely. Many attendees are business users, planners and asset teams who want to create self-service workflows and automate everyday tasks without writing code.
Is FME relevant if our team already uses Python or custom code?
Yes. FME is often used alongside Python, not instead of it. Many teams adopt FME to reduce technical debt, improve visibility of data flows, and make integrations easier to support, document, and hand over while still using scripting where it adds value.
Do we need our own data for training?
No. We provide example datasets however we do offer custom training whereby we tailor exercises to your team’s own data for maximum relevance.
How many people can attend a session?
Our two day courses (FME Form, FME Flow and FME Form Advanced) typically include 5 – 10 participants. Our virtual 4 hour focused sessions may run slightly larger based on demand.
Is FME only for GIS teams?
Not at all. FME is widely used by IT, data teams, planners, business users and asset teams alike. Anyone who needs to integrate, transform, clean, organisae or validate data efficiently will benefit from FME.
